Workplace Safety & Discipline
  1. Advocate for better travel provisions, turnaround protections and increase stunt safety, and on set safety training opportunities.

  2. Encourage and support Local and National Disciplinary Committees to act more strongly, definitively, and consistently in matters of sexual misconduct & inappropriate behavior.

  3. Reaffirm a commitment to be an effective vehicle for a culture shift toward greater equity and serve as a proactive force against discrimination, harassment, assault, and other forms of misconduct.

  4. Continue to improve the SAG-AFTRA Safe Space app (website).

    • Increase the outreach on the app’s existence, and offer more opportunities for training and usage of the app.

    • Allow the app to be utilized for reporting other forms of misconduct and unsafe workplace practices that are harmful and dangerous to members in addition to sexual harassment.

    • Provide annual data on the number of claims that were filed through the Safe Space app, how many of those reports were followed up on, and what the result of the reports were.  No specific details of the claims need to be released, the reports can simply classify them as closed, pending, or dismissed.  This will help provide an assessment of how well the app is being utilized and if it is working both as a deterrent and an enforcement tool against acts of sexual harassment and misconduct.

  5. Explore options to work with other industry Unions — the WGA, DGA, PGA, IATSEA, & Teamsters — to identify repeat offenders and move the culture shift necessary to prevent future crimes and acts of misconduct.

  6. Encourage stricter disciplinary actions and enforcement procedures against members working "off-card"
